IMPACT'S
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
WEST PALM BEACH PROJECT 2003
Eighteen youth and adult volunteers from Impact spent their winter break in West Palm Beach, Florida. Habitat for Humanity International’s Collegiate Challenge is one of the country’s largest year-round alternative break programs. Collegiate Challenge provides an opportunity for youth to share their time and skills to create safe and affordable housing for the underprivileged throughout our country and the world.
During the five-day work week, volunteers framed houses,
roofed,
painted,
and dug foundations
in a development of two dozen homes under construction.
Downtime activities included cleaning up Juno Beach,
visiting Everglades park,
sampling the local flavors,
treating sunburn,
and other excursions.
This is Impact’s sixth Habitat for Humanity trip.
