Gateway Project

Port Chester Carver Center's Gateway Project is a Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Teen Parenting Program which seeks to reduce the number of teen pregnancies in Port Chester and to support and promote optimal development of teen mothers and and their children.  Gateway staff are currently working with 11 teen mothers between the ages of 15 and 19 and also teach educational workshops in the public schools to over 500 youth and parents.

Volunteer opportunities might include:

*  Preparing nutritious snacks for workshops
*  Child care services for teen parent meetings
*  Supervision on field trips
