Homeless Overnight Program at RPC

    Michael Ghitelman is new coordinator!

In order to comply with certain laws, each Saturday evening the men who are housed in the Grace Church Men's Shelter in White Plains must spend the night elsewhere.   RPC is one of several churches who offer them space on those Saturday nights.  Workers from the shelter bring and set up cots early in the evening, and the men and their two supervisors come for the night at about 11 p.m. RPC provides the space and their linens, as well as a church member who is simply present in the church for the evening.

Help Wanted

To maintain the “Outreach in Action,” we need volunteers to help prepare the cots and linens and to stay at the church during the overnights; the men are accompanied by two supervisors from Open Arms to ensure an orderly evening. In addition, we would ask help in the laundering of the linens and returning them to the storage room in the church undercroft.
