Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels delivers nourishing meals to the needy in Port Chester and Rye Brook, thus allowing them to stay at home, whether they are convalescing from hospital stays or requiring long-term care.  Volunteers spend approximately two hours a month (every second Tuesday or every fourth Thursday) picking up prepared meals from United Hospital around 11:00 a.m. and delivering them to about 12 households, finishing about 1:15 p.m. Directions are provided and volunteers can drive on their own or share the activity with a friend.
