Ward Summer Institute

Each July, RPC hosts an early-age literacy program which provides intensive, personal instruction in reading, writing, math and computer skills to 120 at-risk children in grades 1-5.  WSI is motivating personalized training for youngsters just learning to read, and who need all the attention they can get to grasp the basic reading concepts and skills needed to succeed in their education.  Volunteers, both students and adults, act as reading buddies and teaching aides.
